Below is a list of some of the Americanism projects we've completed during the year 2024.

Knott Alone-Hold Fast Painting Project - April, 2024
Several members helped paint the indoor walls of Knott Alone-Hold Fast's veteran's support house.
Abingdon Memorial Park Adopt-A-Spot - September 2024
Members cleaned up branches, and trimmed bushes and trees. American flags were planted around the memorial in commemoration of 9/11.
Abingdon Memorial Park - Battle of the Hook - October 2024
Members cleaned up our Adopt-A-Spot once more in preparation for the dedication ceremony to the Battle of the Hook, which was fought in the location. There was a presentation, and a new monument was placed.
Abingdon Memorial Park - Veteran's Day - November 2024
Several members planted American and French flags at the memorial to celebrate Veteran's Day.
Adopt A Unit Care Package #1 - November 2024
In November our club collected items to send to two separate Units deployed aboard the USS Harry S. Truman. One Unit is the Legal department which has 8 people. The other Unit is the MA’s (Master-at-Arms, the security/ Law enforcement) and has 130 people. This Carrier group deployed on September 24, 2024. Our first two boxes went out on November 8, 2024. We will continue to send care packages to them throughout their deployment! We appreciate their service and sacrifices made while serving our country!! 🇺🇸
Knott Alone-Hold Fast Kayak Dock Launch Donation - November 2024
The club received multiple donations to go towards the purchase and installation of a floating kayak launch dock at the Knott Alone-Hold Fast site. The dock will be an opportunity for veterans to experience the beauty of nature.
